The first step is to have a thorough consultation to ensure we understand your vision and specifications. This is the phase where we outline the project goals, discuss your design ideas, create a quote, and determine a timeline once the quote is approved.
The prep phase occurs in 2 parts. First, we prepare your home/space for the process. For interior projects we will cover all flooring, trim and any other surfaces that should not be affected by the work to give you complete peace of mind. Our specialists are extremely respectful and will leave a clean work site at the end of each day.
The second aspect of this phase is preparing the surfaces that are to be painted. All surfaces should be clean and free of old paint, debris, dirt or oils to ensure maximum adhesion. Once identified, we will advise you on repairs needed and if you approve the repairs, we will make any repairs needed.
Priming might seem like a very basic step, but it is critical for proper adhesion. We are careful to select a primer that will be the best fit for both the substrate and topcoat, sanding smooth between coats. We also perform a scratch test after it has fully dried to ensure that it has bonded with the substrate before continuing to the final steps.
The final step is to apply the topcoat. We will recommend the specific type of topcoat for each surface to ensure the best outcome and give you options for color and sheen. Depending on the nature of the job, our team will either brush, roll or spray the paint for the application. This will provide a beautiful and lasting finish on each surface.
The final step is a walkthrough with you to ensure that the job is completed to your expectations. Once that is confirmed we will conduct a thorough clean up and leave you to enjoy your beautiful new living space!
